Okay so here is where i'm at
. I have a 30g tank with 5 Red bellies the size of quarters. I know when they get bigger i'll have to sell a few.But my questions are: 1. what to feed them? Frozen brine shrimp, feeders, pellets? I've currently been feeding them Frozen Br. shrimp. 2. Simming near the bottom opf the tank all the time? I have 5 artificial plants and lots of stones. No direct snlight (or any light for that matter). Suggestions? Help is greatly appritiated, and any info is helpful. THANKS! FARHAD AKA BMW E36 M3 '97 |

i talked to the guy at the lps here, he feeds the rbp there Krill ( my rbp is 3inchs, i feed him krill but cut it in 4ths for small piranhas make sure to thaw well tho ), theres 3 in the tank. i would also put in like 2 small feeders fo a while just for them to chase so they will no just sit around, and so the piranhas will no attack eachother, thats what they do at the lps here.....
if they eat the feeders take them out! i would not suggest feeding them maby once a month to keep the piranhas agresson up when they get a little bigger. also i recomend a light timmer so when you turn the light on they will no get startled after 2 days my piranha was less shy after getting the timmer, 5$ best investment! hope that helps i sugest piranha-furry.com its a piranha fourm. its good. helped me

vettech: You really should reconsider keeping that fish in a tank that small. Also, I really doubt that it's a good idea to feed your fish dog food.
OP: Don't keep the red bellies in there. They will stunt, and it's very unhealthy for them in the long run. You won't have to "sell a few," it's really not a good idea to keep them in a tank so small at all.
