I was trying to find out any info on the Brown not black, brown ghost knife fish. Also does it use electric fields to see or can it see just fine?

I suggest trying to research some on your own, learn what you can. Then ask questions, if you rely on everyone giving you all the answers all the time, what will happen if no one is around

I have looked and everyone says it is the same as the black ghost knife, but I swear the brown ghost knife can see me. Oh and i'm not talking about the African Knife Fish either.

I hope you don't mean AbaAba knifefish. They get huge (and I mean huge....try 6 feet) and aggressive.

Is the knifefish you're talking about Apteronotus leptorhynchus? If so, it uses an electric organ and has weak eyesight.
Not much info is available in regards to keeping them in aquaria besides the fact that they get about 10 inches long. Most info on these guys are scientific articles regarding their anatomy.

Apteronotus leptorhynchus is the Brown Ghost Knife fish that I am refering to. Now that I have the scientific name for it I can continue my research on it. THANK YOU VERY MUCH SCUBA KID!
