Default FW puffers

Ok, I tried to keep a puffer before however it was brackish, And I tried keeping it in a 10 gallon (Freshwater), since I had no idea about puffers then..

I now want to try keep some puffers again (freshwater 40 gallon or 10 gallons)
This time im going for the Dwarf puffer, but If anyone knows any other freshwater puffers please tell me.

Can some one give me a website to the different types of puffers?

Thank for the help.

the best site is www.thepufferforum.com

has profiles on any puffer you can find pretty much and tells you how to care for them.

DPs are pretty easy just take all the advice in your 10 gallon set up, plenty of hiding places, 1 male and 2 females max, blood worms or black worms or some other healthy staple food, and no overpowering filtration.

If you want something a little larger than a DP, Figure 8 puffers get about 3 inches long. You can keep a single one in a 10 gallon tank, though there is some debate about it. They like brackish water, so if you don't want to bother with that, then go with the DP's. Anything else gets too big for a 10 gallon tank. If you went with the 40 (simply hypothetically), your options would open up a little, but not by a whole lot. There are 3, maybe 4 species readily available that can fit in a 40 gallon. Watch out, cuz some puffers do get really big, like 3 feet.
