15 gallon tall tank
Hey everyone I just bought a tall tank and put a 50 gallon filter on it and planted it many live plants. I was seeing about getting a dwarf puffer fish for the tank and just keep him or place one male and one female in the tank. The only puffer I can find is one that grows to 6 inches and needs very little salt, but look exactly like the dwarf puffers that need no salt, so what should I do?
I did some research like I always do, but am seeing what my other options are of placing.something other then a puffer in that tank by itself. I love fish with personality like the bichirs and African leaf fish. Any suggestions please Im ready to add a fish already.
Thanks Chris

I wouldn't advise keeping a puffer that grows to 6 inches long in a 15 gal. Especially a tall one. Maybe try something smaller.

I know not to get that one, the dwarf puffers only get to 1 inch in size but can't find them anywhere. You got any other suggestions of fish I can put in that or intelligent and oddball?

go to aquabid, you should be able to find some dwarf puffers there. Also you can try the Puffer Forum (pufferforum.com I believe) but their site has had some problems. It has a "puffer-pedia" where you can learn about all kinds of puffers that might suit your needs.

Try this site.

They have dwarf puffers for sale on this site. I haven't ordered from them specifically, but I've heard they're pretty good. They're California based and respond very quickly to any email questions or concerns if you have any.

This last site is a forum for people who love Dwarf Puffers. You may be able to find out where to get some locally or online from there too.
Hope this helps!
