I was thinking about getting 2 of these for my 10 gallon tank or 3 dwarf puffers and a oto. I know the DPs are most likely the better idea but i was wondering if Red eyes really need snails as part of their diet for the purpose of keeping their teeth from overgrowing as i know DPs don't.

Otos should be kept in small groups atleast 3-4, too many for a 10 gallon. I have also read about red-eye puffers and their teeth. Some sites say that their teeth are not evergrowing, and are like the dwarf puffers teeth. Other sites say that they are evergrowing, and need to have their teeth worn down. I have no experience with them myself, so I can't give you my opinion.
I have been wanting a dwarf puffer for some time now, I like how they are really small. What do you feed yours? I hear they only eat live/frozen foods. I don't like feeding live or frozen foods, do you think they would eat freeze dried bloodworms? Last edited by cucci67; 09-06-2005 at 02:14 PM. |
