Dwarf puffers are also FW. They get to be about an inch long and are very cute.

depends on how many you want they are the smallest puffers, so you can keep 2 in a 5 gal or better if you get a 10 gal

I have one myself. For 1 you need a 2.5-3 gallon setup. Idealy you should have two females and 1 male in a ten gallon. Groups require more feeding because if they get hungry they will eat each other's fins so I'd say 2 times a day, as much bloodworn as they'll eat. In my experience they are very easy to care for and don't require snails or other invert.s in their diet unlike most puffers. The water isn't that important if you introduce them stress free and slowly. No tanks mates, most people say you can use otos but them must be kept in groups of 6 or more so just keep DPs alone in a tank with many live/fake plant and hiding places

Yeah I went to dwarfpuffers.com I think it was and read alot so now I'm just trying to figure out do I wanna still switch my 10g to a 20g planted blackwater tank like I was planning, or get rid of the fish in the 10g and put 1m/2f puffers or just get like a 2.5-5 and just one puffer. I dunno probally will depend if I can find them in my city or not thanks for the info

don't do it, once the puffers get alittle hunger or just wwhen they're bored they'll tear tetras to shreads. Maybe in a big tank it would work

I don't know I might try it if it's densely planted maybe I'll give it a try and if they don't do good I'll move another tank
