Ok I like puffers but I am confused I hear that some puffers are brackish some fresh and some fresh then brackish or visverca. So could someone point out to me what puffers need what type of water An Indian dwarf puffer Tetraodon travancoricus is this purely FW I read it is???

indians are fw. Some fih like figure 8 puffers like fw and bw but do better in bw. It all depends really, what puffer are you looking at, i've got alot of back round knowledge

Dwarf puffers are also FW. They get to be about an inch long and are very cute.

I like them dwarf puffers tell me a little more about them fishboy what size of tank, water, compatability if you don't mind.

depends on how many you want they are the smallest puffers, so you can keep 2 in a 5 gal or better if you get a 10 gal

Yeah I went to dwarfpuffers.com I think it was and read alot so now I'm just trying to figure out do I wanna still switch my 10g to a 20g planted blackwater tank like I was planning, or get rid of the fish in the 10g and put 1m/2f puffers or just get like a 2.5-5 and just one puffer. I dunno probally will depend if I can find them in my city or not thanks for the info

Has anyone ever kept these with other fishes I know that everyone says they should be alone except for with otos but I've read that someone kept them with congos and blackskirts??

don't do it, once the puffers get alittle hunger or just wwhen they're bored they'll tear tetras to shreads. Maybe in a big tank it would work

I don't know I might try it if it's densely planted maybe I'll give it a try and if they don't do good I'll move another tank
