Are you feeding frozen bloodworms? If you are thaw some out in a small margarine container and squirt the worms towards the knife with a turkey baster. Also black ghost knives are kind of shy at first and tend to lay low when your tank light is on. I bet after you turn off your light it is on the move looking for food. Try feeding a small amount of frozen bloodworms after you turn off your light and see if it eats.

I keep going back and looking at it expecting him to be eat'in by now!

It's about time someone started hijacking threads to shoot the breeze with me. I was just about to die of boredom here! That puffer is about 8 inches long, I don't have it anymore my ex girlfriend does or at least did. She prolly sold it for a twelve pack of beer by now.

The fish you see in the photo is a flying fox. Actually I had two of them in that tank with big Buford. I had to get something in there that would eat algae off my java ferns. I initially tried some 4" Mbunas but big Buford ate them up the first night as soon as the lights went out. Buford tried eating the flying fox when I put them in the tank but after a couple of days he realized he was outclassed in the speed department and finally gave up. They both would sleep under a big piece of driftwood so even at night he couldn't get them.

You see Paul, sometimes you gotta take some risks and although big Buford made a meal out of the cichlids I tried to use for algae control he met his match with those Flying Fox.

Talking ~Thanks Pete

This is Baby Buford in his new 30 long.
Depite the "Why I otta" look on his face, he is tickled about his new home. He is VERY active. He loves his terraces (where he retreats to, after he find the BIG Night Crawler, with the same look on his face I have after the breakfast buffet)
He got stuck in the Hormwort and couldn't move forward. The little ghost ..just out of Buford's reach.. just was facing him off and not moving... Of course Buford finally quit spinning his tires and backed up!

I going to run a rescue mission to Walmart in the morning and get a little common pleco to put in his tank. I'm thinking if it works out they can grow up together.

I'm headed out and will be back about 8 a.m. with the little guy. I'll check here first for your 2 non-cents before I decide what tank to put him in.

Dang Noodleheads keep the 55 nasty. I will be getting more pictures of Pancake. She is a laugh a minute!!!!!

thanks again my man..paul

Decided to add this picture of playing Peek-A-Boo wit da baby!

Well if you try adding the pleco to the puffer tank I would add it while doing a water change and a rearrangement, Puffers are very curious, I bet he see's it eventually and "tastes it" If he likes the taste of it you can guess how it is gonna turn out. BTW did you pick up a crayfish or two at Walmart? They just love to buddy up with them!

Cool ~I decided to save myself the grief! of Walmart

I remember the 10 gallon I use as a feeder tank came with a snail a guppy and a Common Pleco. The pleco is in the 75. He wasn't to big for the 10 when he and his home were given to me. But he is to big for Buford's 30 long now!

This got me thinking about the size of the tank, like room to move/getaway. You know Buford, dis E.T. look'in swimming helicopter ain't gonna want to chase a fast fish for a distance for very long!

I'm going to wait till he get's his 55 from the turles before thinking about a tankmate again.

I'm draining the turtle tank now and should get some pictures tonight!
