Don't freak out!

We've been having a lot of trouble in getting the profiles moved to the profiles page for various reasons. They're all small reasons, but they pile up something awful. I occasionally bump the profile threads in order to make sure that we don't lose them while working on the problems. Please don't think that we don't greatly appreciate all your efforts in writing submissions, for we most certainly DO, and hope that you keep them coming. We've been discussing some possible ways to fix everything and make everything much smoother for everyone, even allowing people to make their own permanent archive submissions without having to take the extra step of waiting for approval, and others should be able to come along later and add to existing profiles. It will likely require dropdown boxes or something similar, though, because one of the smaller problems we're having so far is that many people just can't seem to stick to the correct format. ( the major problems are technical software issues ) Dropdowns or other formfills will fix that while still getting all the info in place. We really want to make it easy for everyone to submit profiles and articles, but on the other hand we need profiles & artilcles worth reading, so they have to be good even if unedited. Dropdowns should be a good solution, but first we have to find the software and then write the formcode. Our current method was my own idea, one that I thought would result in profiles much better than those found anywhere else on the web. While the results have been quite good in that regard, the number of profiles getting archived isn't good at all, so I have to admit defeat. We'll come up with a good solution soon enough, and in the meantime we'll strive to make certain that no submissions get lost in the shuffle. Thanks for your efforts and patience.
