Default A Pike? its a predator.

i bought this fish because i felt like i needed a couple interesting killers in my aquarium. however, i dont know what kind of fish these guys are.
anyone have a clue?

All I can think of is Luciocephalus pulcher.

they dont need a massive 300-400 gallon tank to be happy little fishies too, do they? :P

I could be wrong, but don't most pikes get a foot long or more?

The pikehead is not an actual pike...i believe it is in the charican group. They max out at around 8 inches.

You have more guts than I do. I would never buy a fish without knowing what is it and what it's requirements were.

I have made the mistake of buying too few fish to make a comfortable school, but that won't happen again.

Good luck with him. He looks cool.

Don't mistake ignorance for guts.

Buying any animal without researching is just asking for trouble and should not be done, regardless of the situation. You're a responsible fish keeper for refusing to do so.
