lmao wow haven't seen this profile in a while. BUt..the other day I saw dwarf puffers attacking 7 inch balas that were in a school. Pretty funny to see huge things swim away by something smaller then a pea.

Do you think mine are a fluke- friendly puffers? Or will they get more agressive with age?
i wouldnt count on them staying friendly for very long. they are nippy little buggers.

OMG! I have had these fish a couple weeks and I hang out with my tank all the time staring at the fishes for hours... all my fish were cool untill I posted that note about them not bugging my other fish! I guess they decided to show me up, yesterday for the first time I saw them start to be agressive... all they want to do is harras my tetras! One of my Neons has such a ratty tail today they are stressing my other fish even bugging them at night what jerks! I guess I need to take them back to my lfs... maybe eventually I can get a smaller tank set up just for one of these cause they are so cute.... Cute and jerky! They also try to go for each other but don't do any damage.... only to my other innocent fish

Yep, this thread certainly underscores the need for some major changes in the way we do these profiles. We're discussing them, but it'll no doubt be a bit slow.

No.
First thing, this post is more suited for the water hole.
Second thing, it is innappropriate for this site.
Third, I noticed that is your first post here which makes me assume that you are a spammer or just trying to cause trouble.

I had a juvenile SAE in the 10g with the DPs. He's been with them for quite some time. He was in the smaller tank with them and when I moved them to the 10g, he went with them. I tried to get him out a few weeks ago to put him in the larger 55g with my other SAEs, but couldn't catch him without uprooting all of the plants. So he stayed with my two DPs and three otos.

Well, I redid the plants in their tank yesterday. I removed all the wisteria and sunset hygro that were choking the tank and replaced them with anubias and other larger leaf plants. It looks much better. Unfortunately, it seems that it also left my SAE a little too exposed. When I went to look in on them and see how the dust was settling in the tank from the Flourite being disturbed, guess what I found. Yes, my SAE was dead, with a good part of its belly missing. *sigh* Its only been a couple of hours since they were fine.

Please let this be a warning to those of you who keep saying "well they are getting along fine, no sign of problems at all." There were no signs of problems between my DPs and my SAE either. Not a single nipped fin. Nothing. And yet now it is dead. It can happen in an instant. This is precisely why we recommend against tankmates for puffers. I'm considering removing the otos now as well.
