Default C. aeneus - In Progress

Common name - Bronze cory, Albino cory
Scientific Name - Corydoras aeneus
Native geographical area - South America
[color=Blue]Native habitat - Rivers
Maximum Size - 2 1/2 inches (6 centimeters)
Minimum Aquarium Size - 15 gallons (56 liters)
Natural & captive Diet - Omnivore. Is a bottom feeder/scavenger and eats almost anything that falls to the bottom of the tank. It is often necessary to put out some food especially for them, like bottom feeder pellets or any other sinking food.
Tank zone - Bottom
Tank set-up - Planted aquarium with sand or smooth gravel substrate.
Temperament & compatibility - Docile. Compatible with most community fish.
Hardness range - 5-19 dH
Optimal hardness - 14 dH
pH range - 6-8
Optimal ph - 7.2
Temperature range - 72-82°F (22-28°C)
Optimal temperature - 78°F (24°C)
Salinity range - Are not very salt tolerant at all.
Optimal salinity - Freshwater
Photoperiod - 10 hours
Seasonal changes critical? Not unless you are trying to breed them.
Notable sensitivites - Salt and major temperature or pH shifts.
Hardiness & Lifespan - Fairly hardy. Lifespan is 12 years.
Physical description -
Activity peak- Diurnal
Habits - Cories mostly stay on the bottom of the tank picking up any uneaten food. Sometimes they will dart up to the top of the water and then right back down to the bottom.
