Cool removing shrooms

i have some gsm that are on a very ugly rock and on both sides so i cant leave the rock only one way. Is there any way to remove them to attach to another section of the tank.

Razor Blade them right off. They'll grow back though on that rock unless you scrub the rock.

You will forever have shrooms in that location unless like reefneck said you scrub the rock off. I had a purple mushroom detached itself from one rock and sure enough about a week later there were two new mushrooms growing there. The grow like crazy.

i used a round tip butter knife and put it under the foot and poped it off. If you get under the foot nothing will grow on the old rock.

Do you want to keep the rock? If you do and want to ensure that they wont grow back, I would suggest fragging the shrooms, then killing whatever is left. It would be as simple as cutting off a section of the shroom, attaching it to the rock you want, then injecting the unwanted section of the shroom with vinegar or kalk.

If you don't want the rock then frag em and chuck the rest in the bin.

Depends on how big the shroom is really. Probably be easiest to cut off the top and kill the stem. You can secure the top to another rock using a toopick, rubber band, fishing line, whatever you want really. I'm sure if you google "fragging corallimorphs" or something like that you could get more detailed instructions.

Thanks mate good to be back .

I've taken a break from online forums but im back now into it now. My reef tank crashed (mainly due to lack of maintenance) but school is over now so I got all the time in the world to start afresh. I'll be setting a new tank up in about a month or so watch out for a journal .
