Check out www.pacificeastaquaculture.com. They have the largest selections of coral frags. They have some really nice zoos colorations as well as corals.

Can't answer with just "will do good under t-5". Is this T-5 HO or just t-5?? How many bulbs? What wattage? What size tank? More info is needed.

Ok, Much better. How about a CoCo Worm to add some Red........Some Christmas Tree Worms for reds, whites, blues and yellows......a Plate Coral or two can add a bright Orange, Red or many other colors......And there are a few easy to keep Purple leathers available.

That is the "cheapest" you are going to find. Corals are live animals and have to be shipped overnight to ensure they survive.

Richordea Mushrooms and other mushrooms can really give some color.
Frogspawn for some greens or pinks.

i would look at many different lps corals, there are some really colorful ones if you look hard enough, candy canes and trumpets are great starters, blastomussa's have killer color if you can find one cheap enough.

no they dont, ive had mine about a year, and it hasnt grown much at all, and i aparently have some sort of parasite on it too, it wiped out one colony and im currently trying to save the other 3, that might have something to do with it growing slowly, but im not sure about that.

Fishnewb1, did you make it up to rockford? The Guest speaker up there talked about the importance of flow. And how actually it was equal if not more important to coral growth than lighting. He was mostly talking about sps's but that all corals need good flow to be healthy. The main point that I picked up is that sometimes moving your powerheads or your corals will increase their growth.

i read an article about, think it was from the same guy, he was talking about creating a whirl pool affect, basically, not alot of turbulance, so the corals can breath better, it makes sense, but im not sure if its more important than light. corals will grow in slow current, but not in the dark

lol yeah After reading your reply I'm sure it was probably the same guy. I agree to an extent with most everything he had to say. Which was basically with good lighting you need good current. The more your corals feed off the light the more or correct water flow they need to rid their waste.
As for color for a tank I'm becoming a huge Zoa fan. They just look really cool all spread out to me and they come in every color.

I have 2 Maxiflow 600's and a rio 2100 that is used as a return pump.

I always hear about Tunze and other recomended powerheads.
