What foods ideal for reef?

With a reef containing, Anemone, Clams, LPS and brains, which foods would be ideal to be feeding? We dose the tank with DT's and mysis food mainly targeted at the brains and sun corals. Any other recommendations?

Mysis Shrimp (Frozen), Formula 1 & 2 Pellets, DT's Oyster Eggs, Live Phytoplankton, Marine Snow, ORAglo pellets, Omega One Pellets with garlic.

That's pretty good already, but you could add something like Marine Snow or just make your own by putting a bag of "oriental seafood mix" ( squid, octopus, mussels, shrimp, and other unidentifiable things ) into a blender and liquefying it. Add some Nori seaweed and some vitamins while you're at it, and/or even some blackworms and other algae. Make sure the seafood mix isn't the kind with a bunch of spices and such already added.

Seal up several small portions and freeze them. A few drops of this mix will make good food for the filterfeeders a couple of times each day. The anemone won't get much out of it, of course, but the others will like it.

Vitamins! I forgot to mention them since they are not "Food"!! I did however mention Marine Snow already!

I use Vita-Chem by Boyd Enterprises. Keeps my fishes on their toes!

Ive heard not such great reviews about marine snow (which stopped me from purchasing a bottle about a month ago). I hear theyre a cause of higher nitrates. Anyone else hear this?

Never heard that and never had a problem. Of course I run refugiums and have 0 nitrates in all of my tanks anyway.

Not my circulation pumps. Just the return pump I do so as not to suck it all into the sump/fuge.

You notice any growth/color variations wince youve been feeding as opposed to a time when you didnt? I want to start adding some phytoplankton or an equivilent for the benefit of my LPS and softies as well as my shrimp and micro-inverts, but im weary about how that stuff affects qater quality.

nothing really causes high nitrates as long as it doesnt sit in the tank and rot... if you have a good nutrient export system (skimmer/fuge etc) you can feed your tank very frequently, if your flow stinks, and your skimmer doesnt work, all that food settles, breaks down, and nitrates go up.
