Clam Question

if i were to put my clam verticaly what side would be up, little or long skinny hole?

it wouldnt like it, the flat mantle needs to get direct light, they can slant a good bit, and ive never read anything about it prefering one way or the other, but if its unhappy, it will detach, and just fall off the rock. best plan is to mount it where you know it gets the best light. flat. or at most, a 45degree.
