No. There are no good books on nano reefs. It's not easy to write a good book about a bad idea.
There are a lot of other books about modern reefkeeping which can probably apply to nanos with a little adjustment. The Sprung/Delbeek series ( volume three comes out this month ) should be very good, and in Europe the series by Alf Nilsen & Sven Fossa is also very good. www.nanoreef.com is a webforum & info site dedicated to nanos, and many people find it helpful. |

A nanoreef is death trap for fish and inverts that just aren't adapted for living in such tight living quarters.

If you have a big enough tank with enough hiding places, pH of around 7, you can keep virtually any fish together as long as all the fish are around the same size and these two groups of fish are avioded: Serrasalmus Tetradon(figure eights and dwarfs are the exception). I keep a successful community of fish in a 4 foot tank including the following families: Cichlids, tetras, loaches, gouramis, barbs, rainbows, livebearers, killiefish, catfish, puffers. |
