Default polyps

ive been going back and forth to the lfs, there is one that has tons of corals soft corals and all sorts of other stuff that i dont know, one thing i was looking at was many different kinds of polyps, im gonna have a 46 bow, 96x2 pc, probably going with a mud system "fuge thingy" i was wondering if any of these polyps might be easy for me to try and keep? can anyone recommend some simple corals and such for a beginner to attempt with a setup like mine, so i can write them down and go look at them at the store (if he has them) i also plan on going there and writing down what i want, so i can come back and check them out on here,

ld:
That is not great lighting for most corals. (No worries, I only have 260W PC's on my 55G).

You can keep most Soft Corals with what you have.....A Couple LPS Corals but no SPS.

That said, Mushrooms, Xenia, Bubble Coral, Ricordia, Kenya Trees, Colt Coral, Green Star Polyps, and maybe a couple more I can't think of atm will do fine with your lighting.

The Bubble Coral being the LPS (Large Polyped Stoney) Which you can see mine in my avatar.

You can save a fortune by buying most online over the LFS prices but if you want Xenia, Buy it locally. Xenia does not ship well but is otherwise hard to kill.

Also, While not a Coral, Feather Dusters make a beautiful addition to any tank and have no light requirements and are easy to care for. There are several different color forms. Also look at CoCo Worms.....More expensive but more intense coloration than feather dusters.

oh yea, i plan on feather dusters, i think those are just amazing, there are actually lost of worms and such that i want, id just like a few corals, and lots of other stuff, lots of this stuff im talking about i dont even know what its classified as, corals and anemones and all kinds of weird stuff, im just slowly picking up the lingo, thats how i know about some of the polyps, id much rather stick with the softer corals and stuff, i just want a tank, where nothing is gonna kill its neighbor, and everything moves around in the water, i also like the stuff that glows in the moon lighting. thats cool.

Be careful with Anemones my friend! Most won't do well under PC lighting.

If you get one and keep it under PC's, Get a Bubble Tip (RBTA or GBTA). These do the better under PC's than any others.

Also avoid Carpet anemones. While they are beautiful (and require more lighting) they WILL eat your fish. Even a Clown they are hosting may end up a meal. Carpet Anemones are bad news.

On another note, I picked up a beautiful purple feather duster today. Will get some picks when I can.

actually bubble tip anemones have a bad track record too. Bulb tip anemones are the ones with an Ok track record. However anemones of any sort would certainly need more lighting than PC's. I'd recommend mushrooms, hairy mushrooms, Zoas or Zoanthias or colony poyps, leathers only if you use carbon, and monti's are good choices.
