Default light upgrade...

ive been thinking about getting a 2x96 pc for my 46 gallon tank, i just found this, and im proabably going to get it instead... http://www.aquatraders.com/index.asp...ROD&ProdID=219
what do you guys think? that should be much better right? 280W (1x150 HQI, 2x65w pc, and 4 led moon lights) im not familiar with this brand, does this seem like a good light? or do you guys think i should get something else, a different brand or something?

aquatraders have a bad track record for customer service and selling old out dated products as new ones. I'd be leery about getting it... Odyssia I've heard isn't the greatest either.

but then again, I've never baught anything from aquatraders and never had odyssia lights.

well it depends, if it is indeed "new" like it says (best to check with a reputible dealer such as marine depot first, look and compare features, ect) then if its worth the risk of crudy customer service, go for it...

what does it matter if its "new" as long as it works, if it has the lights it says it does, and it wont break down in a week, i dont mind if it was last years model,

well some of the older lights have been discontinued because of them being fire hazards.

you would think, but then again, just because a product doesn't work properly doesn't mean its not sold. I prefer Icecap lighting as I think it's the coolest lighting around.

Jebo/Odyssea Products are NOT UL listed and have no warranty! I would not buy one for any price! This is why they are so cheap! You get what you pay for. Not being UL listed means if your house burns down you can't sue anyone.

I actually have heard of one person whose house burnt down from those lights. He lost everything.

The Outer Orbit is an awesome fixture! I have the "Orbit" not the "Outer" and love it but man would I kill Snakes (Insert favorite pest name here) to have a set for my reef.

the only difference is the moon lighting between the outer and just the regular orbit right? or does the regular orbit not have the halides in it?

fyi, the cheapest i found the 36 inch outer orbit, was on ebay for 399, much cheaper than EVERYWHERE else, and what the heck is snakes (insert favorite pest name) ???

The regular Orbit like I have is PC lights. Mine is 4 x 65W. No Halides.
It does have 4 LED moonlights built in.

and I'd kill "Snakes" or whatever pest you wish to replace snakes with. lol

My Orbit is on my 55G. My 29G Reef is my Wife's 29G Reef.

I bought mine used (4 Months Old) for $150 shipped. They are about $260 new
