Default polyp

i got some live rock today and i popped it in my tank, and i have a polyp hangin on it, i was wondering what you guys think it could be, i searched around on live aquaria to try and find it, but i might just be missing something, it looks like a colony polyp or a button polyp, and its maroon, but its just one single little stalk, any ideas? i tried to get a pic, but its really small, and i couldnt get a good clear one. ill try again later if you think it will help.

WOW! I've been sent better pics than that from women on the net trying to tell me it's their pic. (Of course it never is). J/K

At least I can tell that it is NOT Aptasia! That's a good thing. It does look like some type of Button Polyp or Zoanthid family......Call MP for some shutter lessons and see if you can get a better shot to be 100% sure.

Yeah, not an ape.. that double-tentacle arrangement, if I'm not just imagining it, Makes me think either Zoanthus polyp, or baby anemone of either Bunodosoma, Phymanthus, or Lebrunia.

Alright Lesson 1, go buy ur a** a new cam, option 2, send me $200 and i get ya good one and mail it to you!

Now that's a polyp lol. multiple polyps.

That's was first thing i was afraid of when i first started reading it, was like oo look he likes aptisia's but it isn't, it does look zoa though, that went through hell, like curing process or something.

Good find though! i seen at LFS other day, lots of mushrooms on the liverock in the section, now if it was for 3" aiptisia's on it, i'd buy it!
