Posting problems

The forums are not letting me post in the journal and DIY section. I keep getting this error message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1024 bytes) in /home/fishfor/public_html/forum/includes/functions_search.php on line 196

What's up?

I thought it meant my post was too large but I shortened it drastically and I'm still getting the same message. I heard from another user that they were having the same problems with the journal section.

Yup, I have troubles posting new topics in the journal section and the photo section. Journals- been months and it won't let me, photo section let me post that urchin thread and that was about it.
