not sure how to do this

Hey, i built my sump and just got my skimmer (Aqua0C Remora w/ MaxiJet1200) and sump pump (Mag Drive 3) and im ready to cut the PVC pipe thats going to go from the overflow box (still on its way to me) to the skimmer and from the pump to the tank but i got stumped. How do i connect the PVC pipe - which is i think 1.5 inches in diameter - to the pumps output? Do i do it with silicone or superglue ?? Also the PVC going from the overflow to the skimmer, do i just let it flow into the compartment and let the power head suck it up??
Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Your mag drive pump has a threaded end. The pump should be connected to the return pipe (from your sump to the main display). You can do this by purchasing a pvc reducer coupler.

Your skimmer should be separate from the pvc. It should be a stand-allow device.

This is an overview how most people's water flow works:

1. Water flows into the overflow and down to the sump via tubing/piping.

2. The water flows through your sump. Typically there is a compartment for your skimmer

3. The water then will get pumped from the sump (up) to the main display.

FYI. Be sure you have a check value(s) on the stand pipe that leads up to your display!
