Default What's under your reef aquarium?

I got tired of looking at the mess under my cabinet and did something about it. Bought a few new items and rearranged a few other items. Let me show you what I have down there.

Here are a couple of FUTS's (Full Under Tank Shots) Showing my setup. It's a very large sump with a nice size refugium in the center.

Just cleaned the skimmer cup and it's getting right back to work. For those of you that I know will ask...It's an ASM G2 Skimmer.

Keeping cooling easy in the cabinet, I added this little guy today. Takes up no room at all and blows like crazy.

Another new addition is this GFCI Power Strip by Belkin! I have way too much electricity running around down here to risk a fire. Never have an aquarium without GFCI Outlets or one of thease at the very least.

My new little Fuge Light. Small and space saving while growing macro algaes like mad. Using a 6500K Compact Flourescent bulb as suggested my Melev's Reef.

If you are going to return water you have to do it right! Mag 9.5 Return pump is kickin some water!

Another cooling Fan to keep things ice cold down below.

Not shown is my 250W Visi-Therm Stealth Heater. Plastic and won't break if taken out of water.

So let's see what you have under there! Post em up and tell us about the equipment you chose to use and why.

well, I wish I woulda thought to take a pic earlier. I just cleaned the cup on my asm as well

I'll try to get a pic later tonight if possible, nothing fancy. Just a sump, enter through a sock, asm skimmer, some sponges, then my new quiet one return pump (lovin it so far).

Fans in over the sump water sounds like a really good idea to keep away from the chiller runnin during the summer, how's it workin for you?

Ah, nice FUTS Reefneck. Im digging the ASM of yours, im still saving up...untill then ill have to stick with my remora lol. It looks great under there. Wish my stand had that much room inside it, i got a flatback hex so i could probably only fit a 10 gallon under there. I have my 30 gallon sump behind my tank, which is in a hard to reach area so not much is in there besides a few pieces of LR.

Here are a few old pics :

Note: Those are pics of when i just set it up. There are now hose clamps on all fittings, the skimmer is no longer in the sump, some LR has been added, and the water level is much higher
