Smile Whoot! Loot!

I scored a pretty good deal yesterday..for a change.

I got a 65 gallon "show" tank, stand, canopy, wet/dry filter, mother of all overflows, (4) 96W fixture and bulbs, and (2) 250W halides... all for $150 !!
I had to drive 115 miles, each way, through some majorly bad storms, but it was worth it.
I'll be glad to get this baby up and running.

After spending lot of time and effort to get rid of all my excess old tanks, it seems that I am in acquisition mode again. after bemoaning the crappy state of affairs regarding the locally available selection of fish species, I guess my plan is to rebuild my old store, partially anyway, and make it a place that sells only the rare stuff that cannot be otherwise bought in this area for hundreds of miles in any direction. I'm sure I must be out of my mind.

That's a really good deal. Nicely done. I like the store part. Around me, good looking discus are hard to find and I'm trying to get something like a store going as well. I've got a yellow lemon and blue diamond that always mate but for some reason, their eggs don't get fertilized. And yes, I'm sure that one is a male because they have hatched once before. I think they're still a little too young.

that would be awsome job/hobby too bad you didnt live around here cause the freshwater fish selection around here sucks even for a large city, SW fish stores are huge around here but as for FW it seems big chain stores seem to have took over the market on them and lets just say that they always have the same kinds of fish, wich in turn is making me turn to the online market, even though i believe we should give are business to local stores, but when they dont carry what you are looking for, what are you to do, besides settle for what they offer or go online.

If you get a store going, you're going to have to sell me some super rare reef safe fish! AWESOME DEAL!!! I'm so jealous.

Yes, you are crazy to get back into that field. But best of luck anyway. MTS always relapses eventually.
