Default Sharpie on Acrylic

Does anyone know how to get sharpie (tm) off of acrylic? I purchased an acrylic tank and the guy I was buying it from wrote my name on the outside in a sharpie marker so he would remember who paid for it... now I need to get that off.

Any ideas?

Kind of a stupid person to write on a fish tank with a sharpie.

Anyway you could try some rubbing alcohol to get it off.

I'm afraid that the alcohol may cause the acrylic to crack.
