Hello!
I am not new to fish (successfully raised Tropical/Freshwater for over 15 years) but new to salt water fish. My goal with my new saltwater tank is to sucessfully raise a juvenile box fish. I am looking for some advice on the very best equipment. And I mean "Rolls Royce" equipment. If money is NO ISSUE what is the very best: #1 Filtration system #2 Substrate #3 Tank mates for the Box #4 Lighting The tank is a 48X18X30. I have been reading and reading and reading about possible pieces for the tank. The filtration system needs to be a Wet/Dry but I need recommendations on its set up and if additional pieces should be added (best Protein skimmer etc.) How about RO? How about Uv sterilizers? Best submersible heaters? Any and all suggestions on any top piece (and the most expensive is not always the best!) of equipment that is recommend, I'd like to hear about it! Also once we get the hardware set up what about recommending the best place to get "software", meaning start up creatures, live rock, etc. |

best filtration? the ecosystem method
best lighting for fish? any really, however I'm sure that they wouldn't mind a morning evening cycle where brighter lights come on at mid day, and moon lights come on at night, and actinics come on during the twilight periods. UV sterilizers? turbo twist is one of the best You'll want to run carbon 24/7 probably need to replace every couple weeks or so unless the boxfish is the only fish. www.floridarocks.com I believe is one of the best liverock dealers.
