Arrow Additives

Ok so I have my 90 gal tank with live sand, live rock should be here this week to get put in, and I bought 4 different types of macro algae for my refugium...one died for some reason...but what sorts of additives am I going to need when i put my live rock in my tank during the curing process, and afterwards to be ready for live fish...i wanna go coral, but after the live rock, my next step will be lights then some fish, and then start moving into corals...I got some purple up for my rock, but I know I'll need my lights before that will work too well. Other than that, I haven't bought any additives.

You can get pretty good results by just keeping it very simple with Purple-up, Combi-San, & Aragamilk. There is certainly no shortage of other things you could add separately instead, and they'd work as well.
You won't need to add anything during curing. The saltwater mix itself will have more than plenty in it to last that long.

You'd better put a big rush on getting those lights, though. Your liverock won't stay very lively without them.

i agree lights lights lights, as far as additives there is so much out there and so many methods it could drive you mad. I do salt water aquarium maintenance for the shop i work for, we also custom build aquariums. when we set up a customers new tank we dont add additives. we do however install metal halide fixtures and the appropriate amount of live rock. i'm telling you the right lighting and a little patients goes a long way. please dont try to have a reef in a couple of weeks.keep in mind this is a long term venture your about to enter so youve got all the time in the world. i've had countless people come into our shop and drop thousands just to get discouraged because after a couple of weeks thier tank doesnt look like our 300 gal display tank. so they dismatal everything leave all that awsome live rock to die on thier decks, and shove thier custom made aquarium into storage. it really really sucks to see this happen time and time again. fortunatly most of the people have come back and with a little patients have been successful.your off to a good start, but rather than starting to add stuff to your water, just let it do what it natrually does. once you start adding stuff to your water it becomes addicting, i know, i did it. when i first started i was adding everything under the sun to my tank because "it needed it".I wondered why my water wasnt stable and why everything was dieing. now with years of experience under my belt and following some good advice.I'm successful at not being a fish killer...
