Default Filter Problems

I was going to have a sump and then realized that the guy i bought the tank from said it was tempered glass so scratch that idea. So instead of using a wet/dry filtration system what would i use? I was looking into the Eheim wet/dry canister system which sounded pretty good, but im a beginner and don't really know much of anything. Any help would be appreciated

Even if the sides of tank are tempered, the bottom often isn't and you can drill that.

You don't need to drill the tank to use a sump. All you need is an overflow box.

Can you give an opinion on the eheim wet/dry canister filter and the eheim professional canister filter? Should I even use a canister filter? No idea what to do, any help would be appreciated.
