Default 75g Reef

Am starting a new reef tank 75g's.
Will take pics on sunday when it arrives a RR 75g AGA.

Lighting:
Will Contain 260w PC to begin with until I decide how i want to do the MH's, am thinking either two Aquamedic 250w Pendants, or a canopy and install two of them in there just not sure yet.

Filteration:
20g Long filled with cheatomorphia and live rock. I may put at the end a insump Excalibur skimmer not sure yet it isnt needed right away anyway.

The overflow is rated at 600gph I'm going to install a 9.5mag drive pump with four way diffuser two in middle and two on end, the two on the sides will operate off a SCWD. If the pump is pushing too much water back too fast into the tank i will create a undergravel jet system that will be laid in the tank before starting and just capped off until i'm ready to use it it'll mainly run along the back wall and up in the center within the liverock.

Stocking:
Pair of Maroon Clownfish
Blue Hippo Tang
Flasher Wrasse's
Yellowhead Jawfish
Blue Mandrine
Yellow Tang
Flame Angel(after testing with corals in the 29g, cuz catch him in 75g just aint gonna happen)
Various gobies

Corals will consist of mainly LPS and other softies.

If i do this right i shouldnt have the need for any powerheads in the tank just the magdrive below and another smaller magdrive in the back powering the undergravel jet system.

Picked up the 75g, the overflow system i ran into a problem on the return line not fitting the bulkhead and it's just old it seems, so am gonna order a new megaflow system from AGA this week.

Got the main part done for the overflow, just now to seal it on the top part, wait til you see the plumbing underneath I'm working on Will contain a 20g long and 10g stacked on top of it! It's gonna be a treat!

The overflow isn't quite done yet, i still need to drill a hole in the top of the cap seal it and install a air valve and tubing, as you can see the older one has the gang valve that's old skool, the air valve will control the level of water in the overflow

I may have missed it but what lighting are you going with? I'm using the 4x110 VHO from the initial salt tank and 4x65 pc for the added tank volume.

Worked on the sump last night, let me tell you, get rubber gloves and dont inhale! lol. First time doing something like this so i made a bit of a mess, this is the lower part of the sump, a 10g will sit on the top right 1/3 overlapping the 20g, 10g will be fuge and 20g sump....Plan to install PH, calcium, temperature controllers along with auto top off system...

Looks like a odyssea fixture. I have one also. Take note the moonlights are crap. One of the 3 switches (but only one plug which sux also) will kick on the fan which should be replaced before you start. Its noisy and doesn't work all the time.
