55G
1 day back up and running
Nitrate= 20
Nitrite= 0
Hradness=25 (very soft)
Alk= 80 (moderate)
Ph= is impossible to tell but probably 7.2-7.8

The tank seems to have a foul smell coming from it, but it may be just I havnt noticed it before.

I lost 1 tiger barb but was to be expected because he was weak and had been dying for over a week.

Everyone else seems to be healthy and happy. I'm surprised since they took a full swing from hardwater to very soft water.

Bought 5 Albino Tiger Barbs for the 55g

Bought red gravel for 29G, put pot, gravel and plants in.
I put my 6 black skirt tetras in there but felt bad for them so put them back in the 55G.

Thinking of putting Electric Yellows in 29g, only problem is they are $10 a peice urg!

55G- No fish loses so far. I think I lost a bronze corydora a while back though cause I can only find 2 bronze and a total of 10 instead of 11.

Almost bought rosy barbs for the 29G but held off.

Now I am thinking electric yellows and upside down cats. That'll be a good chunk of cash

Well I guess I'm not really cycling the tank cause I dont have any fish in there and I put a brand new filter in, so basically its been sitting for a week running not being able to cycle. Oh poop.

I went to 2 Walmarts, Petco, 2 Pet stores and True Value
After all that I spotted some lovely fish.

The Walmart where I go to college was crappy as usual (you couldnt see in the tanks there was soo much algae)

My Walmart was clean (hehe cause I do it) but none of the fish I ordered came in Go figure, I order something and they send the complete opposite.

The Pet store in my college town, didnt even ask if I needed help and there wasnt prices on stuff and the prices I did see pissed me off. There was a 10G so called "saltwater setup" with sand on the bottom for $99!!!! They had a princess bricardi but no price and they werent helping me so I left. I saw my first odessa barb at this shop.

At the local pet store (Tropics) I found some princess bicardis that I wanted they were $13.99 on sale for $8.99. They didnt look really white though and they were being kept with oscars. The sign said medium but they looked full grown. I also spotted some Kribs, they were near full grown and gorgeous but seemed to have a mouth fungus... they were $8.99 a piece.
A girl brought in a foot long Siamese Tiger Fish! It was in a 55g at her house and brought it in and they must have put it in a 20 long with oscars and some others.
There were Banded Hifin Sharks and Black Ghost Knife fish, and Gars and some unusual Leopard Ctenopoma (which are imported). Lots of unusual fish. The discus were neon blue and 47.99 a piece so I said no to that. Didnt really look at the SW or others cause I was on a time limit. I have not been in there for awhile and with all my knowlegde from FF it was amazing to see what I knew and what I recognized.

At True Value I was suprised to find a new corydora, a Melini for $4.49. They had their usual Botias and loaches. And of course the coveted chocolate pleco. New to see were Gold long finned white clouds, African Butterfly fish! very long veiltailed Angels, Emperor Tetras, Red & Blue Congo Tetras, and to my surprise 3 Kribs for only $3.99 a piece. They also had an Albino African Clawed Frog for $9.99. I love that place, they love me hehe (want me to work there too).
Their small neons are .79 a piece or $1.49 for larger. And Tiger Barbs are .99! Its awesome and they always have deals to encourage buying groups/pairs/trios of certain fish that prefer that. They will special order what you want too and not rip you off!

I got 6 small neons for $3.99 Then I got the 3 Kribs. Oh and some nice new plants too.
The 6 neons are not expected to live cause the tank isnt really cycled but so far they have been really good. They tend to get better neons than us, ie. ones that actually live. They look pretty sweet with red gravel. They are in the 29G with the 3 Kribs. I will post pics on another post.

Update:
moved my 9 Tiger barbs and 4 Albinos to the 29G cause they were harassing the Angels, they were fine for 4 months and now they are butt heads. Then I moved the 15 neons from the 29G to the 55G.

Today I bought 6 otos to keep the algae down... I ended up with 7 so 4 are in the 55g and 3 are in the 29G. I think the tiger barbs are mad I moved them to a smaller tank.

Well I got rid of the tiger barbs so now I have 4 Albinos and 3 Otos in the 29G. Then I bought 2 yellow labs and 2 blue zebras.

It seems that I am missing neons in my 55G, I counted 8 this morning instead of 15. hmmm what would eat them.

The Otos are dropping like flys even though the water parameters are fine. Down to only 1 oto in the 55G. Thinking of trading in my cichlids...

Got rid of the cichlids and got 3 fantails...

I have no more otos in any of the tanks and lost a corydora too. The tri's seem to be losing their barbels while no other corys are... strange.

Well I changed the gravel in the 29, couldnt take it anymore so I got blue.

I sorta re-did my 55G, I got rid of 6 Black Neons, 6 Black Skirts and the Gourami... thinking the reg. neons will get eaten by the Angels so those will be no more too. I want to get a good schooling fish and like 10 of them, we will see.

Set up the 10G at the Boyfriend's house and bought 2 Chinese Red Bellied Newts!

2 Angelfish
5 Dwarf / Balloon Platys
1 Albino Rainbow Shark
1 Trilineatus Corydoras
3 Albino Corydoras
1 Spotted Corydora
2 Panda Corydoras
2 Bronze Corydoras

Got rid of the 4 neons and 1 betta, traded in the 2 clown loaches (they are selling them for $15.99 a peice!) They said they would figure out how much store credit they would give me. So I am down to 17 fish in the 55G.

29 Gallon
6 White Clouds
1 Betta
3? Ghost Shrimp

Most of the Ghost shrimp died, another goldfish died and I got rid of the other one.

10 Gallon
2 Chinese Firebellied Newts
12? feeder guppies

My boyfriends betta disappeared then we found that it died underneath a plant.

Well I bought some Bentosi White Tip Rosy Tetras awhile back and I saw a few spots of ich on them. I figured ah they will be fine nothing ever spreads in my tank. Well what do you know my heater breaks and my platys get ich too. Uh . So for the last two days I have had no heater (temp at 70) and medicated them with Cure All or Quick Cure (something like that) and today even though I have no money I broke down and bought salt, a heater and some Jungle Ich tablets. So after all that I did almost a 50% water change and then treated with 6 tablets, yes 6 (1 per 10G) added not too much salt because of the cories, shut off the filter and left the pump on. What angers me is the dumb heater broke and god knows how long thats been broken cause I dont normally check as I should, if I remember right it was on last week when I did a water change. But anyways no losses so far.
