Time for an update... My cyno is gone... and everything is cleaned up... sadly I lost my turbo snail (who I had decided to keep) to a hermit attack... so i am now down 2 in my clan up crew since Homocidal Hermy is locked away...

FREE HERMY!!!

he's not happy, but ask me if I care...

As you can tell everything is comming along ok... sadly my tank is getting quite cluttered, but im still looking for an easy sump...

I should be getting a few more things in later this week... so ill keep yall informed as it goes...

Well ok... currently im at a blockade... I'm having issues finding the lil guy for a reasonable price... $75 after shipping is a bit expensive for a "nusceince"... so while im hunting the guy i am working on a sump/fuge... Im prolly gonna sit a 5 gal on the lower counter under the tank... like ive said b4... I HATE SEEING EQUIPMENT!!!!!!!!

Is the sump hard to do... no... its the *$&#ing overflow... I wish soooo badly i had a drilled tank... HOB overflows are too expensive... im looking at a DIY one, but that requires tools and things i dont have access too...

To put it simply... im frustrated... For what i could get a HOB overflow for... might as well get a rimless drilled tank... and i dont even have a table saw to cut acrylic... and i cant find bulkhead drains except online and i dont want to order them...

I'm Trying... just having some issues...

dont get upset, just keep trying. i think if you were to go to a store with alot of liverock for sale and ask if they ever see a mantis to call u up and bag it. alot of people get mantises with/in there liverock. but it does depend on if you want a certain species

Maybe you could do a built in fuge on the side? If cutting acrylic is a problem I found that sign shops carry all colors and will usually cut a piece for you for cheap they charged me like 10 bucks for 15"x10" black and cut it to spec. Maybe check out a local shop and also I have a couple spare bulkheads from my order if ya need one.

Hey, Pred. I know you were a little concerned about shipping costs, but Liveaquaria has an absolutely gorgeous Ciliata in Diver's Den.

Check it out.

Thank you scuba... I'm currently trying to go through LFS to see if i can get one... but thanks for keeping me in mind...

And on another note... im still trying to get this sump thing working for me... im pretty sure im gonna order this (http://www.glass-holes.com/product.s...3&productId=3), but i still cant find the right container for a sump...

Not having acess to tools and **************** is so frustrating... and if i wasnt so friggin ocd that would help too... this is supposed to be an excercise in calm and its turned into a stress fest...

-me

p.s. ciliata blends to its environment after a few molts... so its doesnt really matter how pretty it is int he begining...

A sump can be made out of anything, really...just regular glass tanks, stock tanks, tupperware bins...

oh i agree completely... but my sump/fuge will be sitting on the counter behind my tank... i dont want it to be tall enough to see it through the tank... and it will be exposed... sooooo it needs to look good... I just need to can this whole thing and get a stnad so i can hid the sump but i wanted to be able to see my fuge...
