Default I need to know what kind of fish this is.

Hey all,

My boyfriend and I bought a fish from Walmart that was like $6 I think? Anywho, she is about to die and she is a gorgeous fish and we have had her for at least over a year. Long story short, my other fish attacked her really bad and I already know she is not going to survive. I want to buy another one of her but I can't figure out what she was. I don't have any pictures of her. I know she was some kind of an Albino Fancy Goldfish. She was white/silver and had a little hint of pink in her and she had red eyes. We called her Hippie. This is going to sound corny but, I liked that fish a lot and it kills me to see her like she is now. I tried search Google and that didn't tell me much. So if someone could help me figure out what kind of fish she was, it would be much appreciated.

It sounds like you already know the common name for the fish, which is albino fancy goldfish, right? Goldfish come in many different varieties. Even individuals of the same breed can have different markings and body shapes, just like dogs.

I normally don't recommend keeping goldfish with any other species (with very few exceptions). Especially the fancy goldfish who have such distorted bodies. They have difficulties competing for food and fleeing attacks from other fish. If you replace the fish, please consider keeping it in its own 20 gallon or larger aquarium.

HTML.Coder, please look at the dates on threads. If no one's updated them in a couple of weeks, don't post to them unless you have something really helpful to contribute.
