I only paid $5 ea. for them so your probably right but either way they are cool looking. They don't seem nearly as active as the peppers but I imagine they are a bit stressed from the venture.

The store I bought them from only has a two day return policy so hopefully they won't go belly up. They all look really healthy so I'm sure they will be fine.

Edit- I just did a google image search on the trilineatus and your right. They aren't as clear and have more distinct markings. Would the proper abbrevation for them be Trill Cory?

They are usually called False Juliis (for good reason!). Another common name is 3-line Cories, although they don't all have the 3 lines.

I had some, but the group of them died off kinda sporadically and for no reason. I think the Yoyo loaches I had before harassed them. They were really cute. Enjoy them! I'll be looking for pics.

Here are some pics of them and the tanks after I adjusted the plants. I'm hoping the roots find their way into the sand and latch on but if not I'll go ahead and tie them onto the rocks. It isn't very easy trying to get everything just right in that hex. I have long arms and it is still a challenge.

The moss on the right isn't looking so good but I'm hoping it will perk up.

Don't you just want to snuggle with them?

Aww...I do want to snuggle them! They are adorable!

That angel is really pretty! How is it getting along with the Gourami ?

I like the plant arrangement in the 29g.

Thanks!! That means a lot coming from the master of planted tanks.

Out of curiousity what would you change about the arrangement in the hex? The Mrs. wants to keep it lightly planted. I did have the Anacharis in the back but I don't want it to block the filter intake when it grows.

The Angel and the Gourami are getting along just fine. The first night he was nudging her a bit but who can blame him, she is looker.

I would add some wood to the hex. If you could find some branchy driftwood, that would look really nice. Also, another plant to put in the back would be good as well, and just leave the front open. Once the plants grow a bit, it will look really nice. Right now, the plants are short and make the tank look really tall, but they'll grow soon.

Hey to make your plants POP and fish get a black background to pout on the back of your 29g. What I did to make sure it looked good before I went out and bought the thing that sticks to the back I went to Kmart/walmart and got some black poster bord I am sure you will only need one. But really and inexpensive way to make sure before you buy the real thing. In fact it looked really nice on my 55 so I just left it there. Well man Gl with Hex I really like them both.

Thanks guys/gals.

I've actually been keeping my eye out for a nice back ground. I'm thinking black or dark blue.

We are picking up the 75g tomorrow. Wooowhooo!!

Here is an updated pic of the hex after moving the plants around a bit. I seperated the Anarchis because it started browning at the bottom. I avoided putting anything too tall next to the filter intake for obvious reasons.

I think this looks much better. What do you think?
