All plants and the driftwood is on it's way!! I've got sand sitting at home just waiting to go in. Hopefully everything will be here fri/sat. If everything looks stable enough this weekend I'm going to go ahead and make the change! I'm pretty excited.

I've got Marsilea Minuta and Dwarf Sagittaria on the way from one of the PT.net members and a lot of Driftwood that I found on EBay shipped for $10 it's got 10 pieces in it so I'll pick out what I need/want and get rid of the rest. So give it a few days and hopefully I'll have some new pics up here!!

Looking good.

Where are you getting your driftwood from?

oops, I lied it was only 10 pieces I had so many auctions saved I forgot which one I had actually bid on!

I got it from HERE

I'm not sure yet but most likely I'll use the 2 pieces in the middle closest to the tape measure. If anyones interested when I pick out what I want I'll post them up here for shipping cost.

I have tried HC in medium-ish lighting with only Excel (small tank) and it just browned and died. I would not suggest you try the HC (I know you are getting marsilea) because I'd hate for you to pay alot of it just to watch it die. I have it in my 20 long with about 55w PC lighting and no co2, minimal ferts and it doesn't grow AT ALL. It lives yes, but it does not grow....lol. So I am confident that it would not do well in low light.....or in a non-nutrient rich substrate.

Looking forward to seeing the pics! I see you decided on driftwood instead rocks like in your inspiration pic. Those chunks will look really nice in that layout.

Glad you got some marsilea too!

Yea, I was never really dead set on rock but I did really want it. It basically came down to not being able to find anything that I liked locally and you can forget paying shipping for rock if ordered online! I'm not disappointed in using driftwood at all I've got a lot to choose from and think it will turn out great!

BTW: Thanks for the lead over at PT.net Kristin, he had both of what I needed and got about 80 nodes of MM and 6-7 stems of Dwarf Sagittaria all shipped for $20. MM has been VERY hard to find and everyone else I saw was selling it @ 40 nodes for $10. I got twice that and the dwarf sag for a good deal IMHO.
