from my understanding, jelly bean cichlids are white parrots that have been dyed a very light color, thus they are the color of jelly beans. the ones my LFS used to sell were green, yellow, blue, pink, etc, but very light. in order to tattoo a fish, they have to pull it out of the water, wipe the slime coat off, tattoo them, then they normally get thrown back into a medicated tank to stop any infection. if anyone has better information, please do correct me.

thank you trenton im am shopping for one right now got my i on 2 of them that comes with a stand kinda like a shelf the only prob is that they share filters i will be changing that if i get that set

I bought my 100gal tank online and it came with the stand. My husband almost died when I told him how big it was. But it looks great and I really really love it! I almost wish I went bigger but no room right now.

Mine is a SA/CA tank. I went with mostly carnivores because I have an 8" Turtle in with them and I needed fish to clean up what he didn't eat. I just figured I'd get some cheap catfish or something and the next thing I knew I have all these fish in a much bigger tank then what I thought I was going to get!

yes i do im going to have it a rocky bottom like a lakes bed with driftwood bacaues im going to breed my cichlids and i want to fill it up with cichlids

That sounds great! I don't know a thing about Africans except that they are really beautiful!! Are they hard to keep? You must really be doing something right considering all the Fry you have!!!

I would love to have a SA tank but I don't think I would have the time. I've been tinkering with the tanks I have as it is
