Default 29 gallon long

Hey guys its me again, Im starting a 29 gallon long freshwater community tank(currently cycling), currrently has nothing but water and dark blue gravel and the under gravel filter, when it cycles I will definitely put a school of 6 mickey mouse platys to start the bacteria, i will have a driftwood center piece with some fake plants on it, but past that i dont know what to put in it, so any suggestions?( any fish that is generally peaceful and wont outgrow a 29 gallon long and must eat fish flakes as a staple food)

some more tank pics(now planted with fake plants) the last one is a full tank shot, all it needs now is a heater and an aquarium hood(and of course the fish), there is no backdrop because it is at the end of my bed so I can see through it when im walking by and when im laying in bed.

Thanks for the clarification justintrask. So does anyone have an opinion of what type of fish i should put in? Remember they must be fish that are generally peaceful and wont outgrow a 29 gallon and must eat fish flakes as a staple food.

here are 2 pics with my 6 new cherry barbs in it, they were out of their mickey mouse platys but will get them in tomorrow, since the tank is new i put some biozyme to help start the bacteria growth. for some clarification the tank is clean and looks pristine but my camera phone is terrirble quality.

I think Neon tetras are pretty cool if you have a large school of them. I have a school of I think 25 now in my 29 gallon.

I keep a little bit of everything it seems in my 29G, but it seems to have gone great. The Danios I have had for a few months are extremely peaceful and get along with the Glolight Tetras. My frog and shrimp do their own thing and of course I have enough snails to stock a pond.

So...it's cycled already then? It's only been a few days, and I didn't see where you'd done anything for it to cycle that quickly. 6 fish is a *bit* much, in my opinion, for a 29g while cycling.

its been cycling for a while, cant say exactly how long though. i know 6 fish at once is oushing it but if i put in a species of fish in i want them all in at the same time so they will school better.

Then why don't you seed the tank with some established filter media to get a boost on the bacteria growth?

Just an opinion, but I would wait on the platies until the tank is finished with the cycle. Let the cherry's do the job before you add anything else. Don't want to lose fish (and money) by jumping the gun too fast. The biozyme may help speed it up but it won't cycle in only a few days. The tank may have been up and running for a while but it didn't start cycling until you put the ammonia source, namely the barbs, and the biozyme in it. Have you been testing for ammonia and nitrites? Scuba's advice is right on. You could pull some of the filter media from the 10 gallon puffer tank and put it in the filter box of the 29 to boost the cycle even farther.
Not trying to brow beat you, just trying to help you avoid losing your fish when it's not necessary.

I'm confused. It's your tank but you're not sure when it started cycling?
