Got some Cherry shrimp for sale...I have (20) that I can part with as a package. They are super healthy and very active...especially when the lights are out. If you have an algae problem...here is your solution! They enjoy a supplemental diet of algae wafers and spare fish flakes that make it to the ground.
I would like to sell them shipped with priority shipping for $25. I will ship them in a Kordon breathable bag with something for them to hang onto during travel. If you need any tips for caring for shrimp...I can provide as much as possible! Thank you for looking at my thread... Wayne *I will ship them USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation added so you can track your shrimp!

I would love them but am not sure if I could have them.
I have tetras, loaches, rams, plecos, bamboo shrimp, blue shrimp, and orange barbs. I don't think I need to worru about anything but the barbs, although they have not bothered my other shrimp. They have, however, killed a good amount of mystery snails. What do you think? I would hate to see them get eaten! |

Now that I think about it...
I just removed a gaurami from the tank, as it was not being very nice, and could move them out too. I only have three and I'm sure they could be replaced by more neons. What part of Texas? |

I'm in Corpus Christi...are you in Texas?
The barbs would definitely harass the cherry shrimp! Let me know if you would like to get some if you clear the barbs out!

I want some. Are they currently housed with fish, or are they in their own tank? Will you be taking the oppressive heat into consideration in your packaging?
That sounds like a pretty good deal to me. |

Hello Old Salt - The Cherry Shrimp are in their own tank with some Crystal Red Shrimp.
As for the packaging...In my box, I line the entire inside of the box with tape...I use styrofoam to insulate the shrimp in the box. I then put moist newspaper around the bag to prevent it from moving inside the styrofoam. To make the shipping as comfortable as possible for the shrimp, I add some pieces of Moss for them to hold onto. I'm pretty paranoid about them having to deal with the heat, so I try to make the box as insulated as possible. After you send me your address, I check to see when the best day is to minimize the number of days in extreme heat. If the temperature is too extreme...I'll add a cooling gel pack. I can take paypal or USPS money order! Thank you for checking out my thread!

gil_ong - I don't have pics at the moment due to no digital camera. I can get a friend to take pics when he can come by...usually within a day or two. Just let me know, and I can arrange for him to come by.
Another option is that I can send a camera - phone picture although the photo quality is not good at all on the phone.

*I should be able to do two packages...feeding them now so I could get a count on how many I actually have in the tank available.
Let me know!

EDIT:
Well, originally this message said I'd take some, but now I see that I have a problem I didn't expect; a tank full of fry! *sigh* Ordinarily that's good news, but now I don't have any room for the shrimp. It looks like I'll have to pass this time, but I WILL get some someday. Last edited by TheOldSalt; 07-28-2008 at 10:14 AM. |

Oh. Too bad. I'm in Dallas.
Would shipping in this heat be a problem? I can certianly remove the barbs. They seem to limit what I can have in my tank, and I'm not exactly thrilled about that. |

I will actually be in Dallas this weekend and can bring them with me. They will be in a climate controlled car and still be in a Styrofoam box to minimize temperature fluctuations. I'll be in the Plano area...

That's great!
Plano isn't far at all, so that will be no problem for me. |

Unfortunately I don't need any RCS, but that's a good deal. Just curious if you have any luck breeding your CRS?

I just got my Crystal Red Shrimp a few weeks ago from breeder, Kangshiang. None are berried yet, but they seem to be in excellent health. I'm hoping they breed soon enough as I've noticed more and more interaction among them...so possible berried Crystals soon.

Platyco...this might be a bit late, but your rams will probably eat shrimp.

Most loaches would eat shrimp in a second as well...
