I have completed the first version. It's a simple program that calculates the tank space required for different fish, but it's very general about the species. On the new version I am going to make it much more appealing to the eye, and narrow down the species. Also, in the first version's "about" form (if you click help, then about) it says that it can suggest compatible species for each fish, I never got to that, but I will be doing it in the new version.

I am going to create a prototype interface today, I can guarentee that it will change several times throught the writing of the program, but it will give a general idea of how it will look. i will take a screenshot and post it up here when I am done.

I am open to all ideas, I am trying to think of how I will narrow down the categories, and if it will all be on one form.

Ok, going big now. I have put 128 fish species into combo boxes (those box things that you drop down and select different things). You can choose exactly which fish, and how many. Then those numbers will be multiplied by a number determined by how many gallons of water that fish needs to it's own. This way the needed space is calculated by the fish's maximum size, and not the size it is when the user types in the inches.
