I use a popup blocker

When the Prillian window pops up, click on the Prillian preference icon.

You can change the setting of
"Launch client when you visit forum index"

TY-- I do not know why that function was automatically initiated for me. I also refuse to have or use any IM programs on my pc, so I was also glad I was able to disable that function at the same time.

These functions should all be turned off as the default unless a user wants to activate them.
