Hi, I've been keeping a common goldfish for about a year now. He lives alone in a planted 10gal with a HOB filter.

He's had this single red dot on his side since I got him. It's about the size of a scale, and it doesn't seem to be hurting him, but I am still slightly concerned. Water Vertebrate Organism Fluid Fin Water Underwater Fin Fish supply Organism
What could it be?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
That's just a dot of color, he is okay.

Common goldfish can reach a foot in length and need at least a 30-gallon aquarium, preferably bigger. Goldfish are also a social species, so they prefer a friend. Add on 15+ gallons for every additional fish. A 10-gallon will not suffice.
