They`re YELLOW and scattered all over the tank. I save 1/8 teaspoonfull so far. I saw 4 chasing the largest PT and hoped it was spawing, so hopefully they did. How do i keep the eggs so they`ll hatch???????

Never kept that particular tetra and hatching tetra eggs can be very difficult. A general rule of thumb is to subdue the light, and add fungus gard.

They'll also need rather soft water. You probably alreay have that since they spawned in the first place, but mix a little distilled water into the hatch tank to make sure.
Keep fungus out, don't let the lights be bright.etc. Keep temp steady.

While waiting for the hatch, gather up some food for the tiny, tiny fry.

By the way, congratulations. Phantoms are very difficult to spawn. You must be doing something right. :)

The eggs are clear now and I see the black spot ( fry ) in only 3. My tap water is Ph 5.8- 6.2. I might have screwed up by putting them in a 5 gal with a HOB filter that I added a sponge to the intake. I just hope none of the eggs got sucked against the sponge. I did add some java moss and am keeping the tank covered with a towel. It`s still early in the am so I haven`t turned the room lights on yet to check. My Phantoms were spawning again yesterday but I didn`t check for eggs. Running back and forth to the hospital to visit my Mom is keeping me right busy. When things calm down around here i`ll sit on a ritual watching them.

Congrats on your spawn.
Peat in the water is very good at acting as a natural fungaside, it also decreases the pH even more which tetras love.
Without a fungaside, your eggs will be very prone to infection.
Good luck!
